Harvey Fisher

Harvey Fisher, 84, died Wednesday at Menorah Park. He was a life resident of Syracuse. Harvey was a graduate of Central HS; and Syracuse University. He was a teacher in the Syracuse City Schools. He coached High School football, basketball, and girls softball. He was also a Pop Warner coach in Fayetteville.

He will be remembered by his nieces, nephews, friends and the many young children now successful adults whose lives he touched an enriched with fond memories as he helped them cross the five yard line and stand into the end zone.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Saralee Hart Fisher, and his brother Norman Fisher.

Survived by his daughter Joni (Mitch) Mazur of Pompano Beach, FL; granddaughter Marlowe Mazur; sister Ruthe Kuznitz of Delray Beach, FL. No local services will be scheduled. www.sisskindfuneralservice.com

Harvey was a good guy. He spent his serving young people. I first met him when officiated a basketball game of which I was one of the coaches. He almost T'd me up. RIP Harvey and condolences to your family.

Harvey was a neighbor and friend when I was growing up across the street from him on Mountainview. One of the great guys. May he rest in peace.
