Eli Roth

Eli Roth, 87, died early Sunday morning following a brief illness. Born August 1, 1931 in Lithuania to Hyman and Leah Roth; his family immigrated to Syracuse in 1938 where they made their home including his late sister Miriam. Eli was a former member of Temple Beth El, and a current member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. He was the distribution manager for Roth Bros. Smelting Co. of Syracuse until retiring.
Eli was an avid sports fan of SU, and the Yankees. He loved to bowl and play baseball in several leagues in Syracuse.
His family includes his wife Sandra of 64 years; their children Steven (Janice), Marty (Debra Cameron), and Ellen Newman; grandchildren Natasha, Zachary (Malia), Samantha, Dena, Max, Leah, and Marilyn; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2PM on Tuesday, December 18 at Sisskind Funeral Chapel.
Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service on Tuesday from 1-2PM at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery.
Contributions in Eli’s memory may be made to the minion fund at Temple Adath Yeshurun.
Shiva will be observed at Sandra and Eli’s home from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, and 2-4PM, and 7-9 PM on Wednesday and Thursday.

Sandra & Family, We were truly sorry to hear of Eli’s passing. Our deepest sympathy goes out to each & everyone of you. We were fond of Eli, as well as all of you.
