Audrey J. Adkins, 87, died Saturday September 25 at Upstate Hospital.
Born on June 13, 1934 to John and Lillian Beck, she had been a life resident of Syracuse.
After her son Mark was old enough to be independent she returned to the work force. Audrey worked for the NYS Insurance Fund for many years until retiring.
Audrey’s main interest in life was caring for her family and being in touch with them and her friends through phone conversations. Everyone loved her.
Her family includes her son Mark (Sharon); grandsons Christopher Glaister and Bradley Glaister; great granddaughter Alani Rose Glaister; her brother Bernard Beck; and several loving nieces and nephews. Her husband Jack passed away in 1997.
Graveside services will be at 1PM on Thursday, September 30, in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Masks and current precautions are required.
