Eugene “Gene” Pettus, 86 of Sarasota, FL formerly from Baldwinsville, NY passed away on January 13, 2017. Gene was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. Gene worked for GE and retired from the US Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Arlene “Lynn” Pettus; son Tom and daughter-in-law Toni Cole; grandchildren Thomas Jr., Randy, and David Cole; and nephew Norman (Marianna) Pettus.
Gene was a caring and loving husband, and a wonderful father. He was also an avid fisherman. He will be missed by all.
Services will be graveside at the Sarasota National Cemetery on Thursday January 19
at 11AM.
