Morton Fox, 82, died Friday, July 28 in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Born in Syracuse to
Abraham and Rae Fox, he had been a resident of Syracuse until retiring to Delray Beach, FL. He and his wife Susan moved to Ponte Vedra Beach 3 years ago to be closer to family.
He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the army air corps.
Mort was a graduate of SU, earning a BA in electrical engineering. During his professional career he worked as an electrical engineer for GE in Syracuse, concentrating on radar and sonar systems. Mort was a lifetime member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. He was an excellent skier and was an instructor for many years at Toggenberg Mountain
He is survived by his wife Susan of 56 years; their daughters and sons-in-law Amy and Bruce McKean, and Shelly and Craig Bloch; and grandchildren Alex, Jared, Griffin, and Tyler.
A celebration of his life will be at 11AM on Sunday, August 13 at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family immediately prior to the service on Sunday from 10AM to 11AM at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street.
