Michael Becker, 64, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, December 16th in West Palm Beach, Florida. Michael would have been 65 on December 21st.
Michael was born in Miami, Florida and spent most of his life there along with stays in Norfolk, Virginia and Las Vegas, Nevada. Michael graduated from North Miami Senior High in 1971 along with going to Miami-Dade Junior College. For most of his adult life he worked in retail shoe sales as a store manager and achieving many awards for his selling success.
Michael had his Bar Mitzvah at Beth Moshe Congregation in North Miami, Florida.
Michael enjoyed watching a variety of movies and TV shows plus listening to music with his favorite artist being Elvis. Michael also valued his friends including his longtime best friend, Ben Caputo. They knew each other since 1st grade.
Michael’s parents were Lawrence and Harriet Becker. Both parents have passed - Lawrence in 1996 at 82 years old and Harriet in 1998 at 86 years old.
Michael is survived by his brother, Steven (Debra) and his nephew David.
A memorial service will be at noon on Thursday January11 at Temple Concord, 910 Madison Street. Shiva will take place Thursday evening January 11 from 7-9PM with a short service at 8PM in the Schayes lounge at Temple Concord.
